Chloe Hammond (b. Amesbury, Ma 1998) is an American painter, and glassblower known as Aptegwai glass and is currently based out of Tucson, Arizona. She spends her days watercolor painting in her home studio and works as a resident glass artist in Tucson Torchworks studios. After moving out west she's had multiple works on display at various galleries such as Subspace, Sunset Glass Gallery, Beaufort Art Glass Gallery, Tucson Erotica, Studio One, Desert Garden Gallery and Sidlehouse Maine. In her current paintings, she uses watercolor and acrylic on different surfaces such as banana silk, or found wooden objects. Her work focuses on portraying dreamlike states, otherworldly aspirations, and artifacts as well as their spiritual connections to the universe and environment. Often using symbols that convey life lessons, the human condition and searching the fine line between subconscious/conscious states; these worlds form through her paint brush and by the flame of her torch.
